Marjorie ³Peg² Ann (Disch) Purton, 85
COLUMBIANA There will be a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7 at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The Rev. Michael Marcelli at Saint Charles Church will celebrate Marjorie ³Peg² Ann (Disch) Purton, 85, who passed away Wednesday at St. Mary¹s Alzheimer¹s Center. Marjorie was born July 18, 1927, in East Liverpool, the daughter of John and Irene Kennedy Disch. She graduated from East Liverpool High School. Marjorie was a strong and loving mother and grandmother who cherished her faith and attended Saint Charles Church. Her memory will be held with great love by her husband, Charles R. Purton, whom she married Oct. 15, 1949. She also leaves to always treasure her memory, her five daughters, Cindy (Bill) Cunningham of Lisbon, Debby (Greg) Brophey of Calcutta, Shar (Rick) McBurney of Salem, Margie (Alki) Santamas of Boardman, and Janice (Michael) Cunningham of Columbus; and her son, Joseph R. (Peter Vertes) Purton of Cleveland. She also leaves 11 remarkable grandchildren and nine wonderful great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Bob and Jack Disch, preceded Marjorie in death. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home.
