BOARDMAN There will be a Panachida service Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Burke, for Martha L. Durkot, 80, who passed away Friday evening at her home with her loving family by her side. Martha was born April 14, 1933 in Youngstown, a daughter of Adolph and Gabriella Hrutka Gasper. She was a South High School graduate and attended Youngstown College. Martha worked for Automatic Sprinkler and then became a devoted homemaker and mother. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church and loved to travel with her daughter, Mo, to visit the sisters in New York and Pennsylvania. Her husband, Michael, whom she married Aug. 4, 1964, passed away Dec. 25, 1993. She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Michelle (Ken) Kitt of Cave Creek, Ariz., Marcia ³Mo² Durkot, with whom she made her home and Natasha (Rocco) LaVolpa of Boardman; two grandsons, Anthony LaVolpa and her pride and joy, Rocco LaVolpa; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward (Marie) Gasper, Carl Gasper and Richard (Clara) Gasper; and three sisters, Theresa Victor, Dorothy Turkovic and Elsie Gavini; a nephew, Richard Myers; and two nieces, Ramona Turkovic and Debra Gasper. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman. There will be a Parastas service at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
