U.S. VeteranDavid W. Casey, 70

POLAND ­ A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Edward P.
Noga, held today at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, Youngstown, for David W.
Casey, 70, who passed away Monday morning with his family by his side.
David was born Nov. 29, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a son of Dennis and Dorothy
Connolly Casey.
He graduated from University School and Point Park University, both in
Pittsburgh. He attended St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pa., St. Gregory
Seminary in Cincinnati and St. Meinrad in Indiana. David was a sales
representative for many companies and was presently working as a consultant
for Universal Remediation. He was a active member of St. Patrick Church and
Toastmasters of Youngstown.
His love for the outdoors led him to enjoy golf, owning a cabin in Cook¹s
Forest and help Poland Community Baseball Association acquire land. He spent
a lot of time doing family genealogy and was an assistant chaplain in the
Dave leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Cheri A. Heintz; six
children, Mark D. (Lori) Casey of Poland, Paul F. (Renee) Casey of
Indianapolis, Susan K. Ianacone of Las Vegas, Jon S (Roxann) Carroll of Lake
City, Pa., Bradley T. Carroll of Poland and Christina M. (Frank Jr.) Pezzano
of Columbus; three sisters, Marjorie Sweitzer of Alexandria, Va., Barbara
(Charles) McCrudden of Boardman and Marilyn (Jerry) Bracken of Chevy Chase,
Md.; a brother, Donald (Gloria) Casey of Fox Chapel, Pa.; and eight
grandchildren, Ryan, Erika, Connor, Alison and Morgan Casey, Lucas Ianacone
and Samuel and Madilyn Pezzano; several loving nieces and nephews; and his
two cats.
Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J.
Casey; two sisters, Nancy Lanich and Rosemary Casey; father and
mother-in-law, John and Mary Lou Heintz; and a sister-in-law, Dee Reuff.
Friends may call today from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Patrick Church.
