Lorine A. Snyder

Prayers will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Philip Rogers at St. Charles Church for Lorine A. Snyder, 93, who passed away peacefully Thursday morning at Assumption Village Nursing Home.

Lorine was born August 1, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of Paul and Lorine Woomer Snyder. She was a graduate of Rayen High School, and attended the Bradford Business School in Pittsburgh, PA.

Ms. Snyder worked for Aetna-Standard Engineering Co. for 27 years and for National Steel Corp. of Pittsburgh, Pa. for 19 years, as an assistant Administrator in the Technology Dept., retiring in 1989.

She was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Church, their Ladies Guild, over “55”club and a member of the St. Charles Ladies Bowling league.

Lorine was also a member of Seton Circle and Jr. Seton Circle for a number of years. She was also an avid Notre Dame Football Fan.

Lorine leaves to cherish her memory many nieces and her nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Robert Snyder, and five sisters, Jane Whalen, Sister Geraldine of Good Shepard order, Mary Moss, Dorothy Meyers and Caroline Burrows.

Lorine’s family wishes to thank the staffs of Assumption Village and Hospice of the Valley for the Loving care and compassion shown to her.
