Bernadine C. "Bunny" (Bees) Neapolitan

June 5, 1933 ~ April 12, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old


 

There will be a mass of Christian burial for Bernadine C. “ Bunny “ Neapolitan, who passed away peacefully , at the Hospice House, April 12, 2017, in the evening.

 A funeral mass will be at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, in East Palestine Oh., celebrated by  Rev. Christopher Cicero, on Tuesday April 18, at 10 a.m..

Bunny was born, June 5, 1933 in Coitsville, Oh., the daughter of Joseph and Catherine McCarthy Bees. Her husband, Robert “Red” Neapolitan, preceded her in death, October of 1977.

Bunny leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Pamela Figley and her husband Francis of East Palestine, Patricia O’Haron and her fiancé Dr. Thomas Kalasky of Lordstown, Catherine Thompson and her husband Jamie of Hubbard, two sons Michael and Tina Nagel of Lake Placid, Fla. and William and Jennifer Neapolitan of Salem, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great- grandchildren and six great- great grandchildren, and a brother, Timothy Bees of San Bernardino, CA. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Joseph and Francis and seven sisters, Margaret Mary, Bridget, Julianne, Catherine, Mary Margaret, Shirley and Elizabeth.

Bunny was involved in many organizations over the course of her life. She loved all people and, she never met a person she didn’t know. Bunny was proud alumni of St. Patrick’s (Oak Hill) and South High Schools. She was most recently a member of East Palestine Town and Country Garden Club, East Palestine Historical Society, St. Paul’s ( New Middletown ) Over Fifty Club and The Ruby Red Turbans, she loved these gatherings, where she was known for her humor and quick wit, but because of ongoing health issues her attendance was no longer possible. The world will be a lot less fun, without this witty Irish Lady!

Bunny’s family would like to express their gratitude to all the angels whom cared for her these past months and an extended thanks to Hospice of the Valley.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Bunny’s memory can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church Building Fund or to Our Lady of Lourdes St. Mary’s Ladies Aid Society.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home 4700 Market St. Boardman.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Fox Funeral Home and Tuesday prior To Mass from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 200 E. Main St. East Palestine Oh. 44413.
