Carolyn and I were so sorry to hear Uncle Charlie had passed. He was so vigorous and engaged his entire life. Deep condolences to all my Stepan cousins and their families.

Dear Stepan family,
Living across the street from your parents since 1968 was a wonderful experience. Your mom and dad were definitely treasures to behold. While my parents were continually reprimanding all 9 of us, Mary and Charley were soft spoken and so respected by all 7 of you.
It was a pleasure knowing your parents and the friendship our moms had for so long. We'll miss seeing your dad at the parades or running into him at stores.
I'm sure Mary couldn't bear another day without Charley and he was ready even if busy.
All our love, Nelson and Simon Families
May God hold them near and comfort all of you.

My Hart is so broken to here of the loss of Mr. Stepan who was like my second dad and just as proud of him. He was always checking my pockets looking for matches or lighter for which I spend a lot of time in the woods and asking me if I was setting fires for my dad to put out for whom was assistant fire chief with the Boardman fire Department. After I got into Taekwondo in Beaumont Texas for several years, and I would come home for a visit, I would always go see mr. and mrs. Stephan and I was still no match for Grandmaster Charles stepan. You will be so missed. RIP Dad

Dean and I are so very sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. He was such a great man. I remember spending many happy hours in your home. Both of your parents were always very nice and they welcomed me into your home and lives. God bless both of them. And our condolences to all of you. He will be missed by so many!!
