A prayer service will be held at 9:15 am at Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Monday May 6 at St. Columba Cathedral, officiated by Msgr. Robert Siffrin, for Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Polmaskitch, 95, who passed away Tuesday surrounded by her family.
Betty was born January 28, 1924 in Youngstown, a daughter of Anthony and Mary Laratonda Capalucci. She belonged to St. Michael Church, and liked cooking and watching the Wheel of Fortune and the Young and the Restless. Betty worked in sales at JCPenney in Liberty and Kaufmann’s in Youngstown and worked at the Sparkle Market in Warren. She married Peter Polmaskitch on August 2, 1946 and enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Beverly Polmaskitch, Sam Rich and Shirley (Jim) Ogden, all of Youngstown, six grandsons Peter (Mary) Rich, Patrick Rich, James (Kelly) Ogden III, Robert (Tracy) Ogden, Tony (Dana) Rich and Joseph (Carrie) Ogden, ten great-grandchildren Chelsea, Maggie, Chance, Ben, Emma, Grace, Hannah, Lorelei, Chase and Parker, and sister Jean (Ray) Francisco of Liberty.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Donna Marie Frasco, brothers Pat (Ruth) Capalucci and Dan (Eleanor) Capalucci and daughter-in-law Carolyn Rich.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday May 5 at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
