Gerald " Jerry" B. Weinstein

 Prayers will be 9:30Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10A.M.at St. Dominic Church, for Gerald ”Jerry” B Weinstein, 91of Boardman, who passed away peacefully Sept 15 with his family by his side.  Jerry was born March 9, 1926 in Butler, Penna., a son of Lou R. and Grace Anderson Weinstein. He moved to the Youngstown area in1936 and graduated from South High School in 1944.  After graduation Jerry attended Youngstown State University and the went to work for Ohio Edison for 32 years, retiring as a Mechanical Maintanence Supervisor. He was a member of St.Dominic Church, Ohio Edison Breakfast Club, U.S. Merchant Marine Club, Lowellville Rod and Gun Club,   American Legion Post  #888, and the Sulgrave Lodge # 696.  Jerry served in the Merchant Marine in 1944 and 1945.  His wife the former Theresa J .Kunder whom he married August 12, 1950, passed away April 12, 2014.  He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Jean(Michael)Long, Amy (Charles) Yohman and Lori(John) Herbers, a sister Donna(Jack) Farmer, grandchildren Jamie (Jesse Morse) Clayton, Megan (Robert) Manley, Matthew Clayton, Michael Long, Timothy Long, Nicholas Long, Zach (Bree) Herbers, Brian Pribble and Abbi (Lucas) Jerry. Besides his parents and wife, Jerry is preceded in death by a brother William Addington.  Friends may call 4 to7 Monday at the Fox Funeral Home.  Material tributes can be made in Jerry’s memory to Hospice of the Valley, 5190Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512.  Special thank you goes out to Jerry’s son in law Charles, for his love and compassion though out his last years.
