William James Green

A memorial  services will be officiated by Rev. Russ Adams at 1 P.M. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, for William James Green, 91 of Poland, who passed away peacefully Tuesday morning.

  William was born October 28, 1926 in Wyanet, Illinois, a son of Jess and Betha Ellis Green.  He was a life-long aluminum siding installer and a former member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.  William served in the Navy and was a member of V.F.W. Post 2799 in New Springfield. His first wife the former Eileen McCooey, whom he married in 1948, passed away in 1987. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Juanita Recklies, -daughter Judy LaCivita of Boardman, son John Green of Boardman, step children Alan Recklies, Holly Recklies and Donald Recklies, sister Jessie Acierno of Girard; son-in-law David W. Greco of Boardman and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

 Besides his parents and first wife, William was preceded in death by his daughter Janet M. Greco brothers Gilbert Green and Daniel Green, and sisters Neta Updegraff and Ethelyn Gannor.

  Friends may call from 12 to 1 P.M. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.  Material tributes can be made in William’s memory to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514.
