Alvin Samuel Baldwin, 95 CPA for 60 Years YOUNGSTOWN - Calling hours will be Monday at the Edward J. Fox and Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. There will be a private family service at the Hubbard Union Cemetery. He was bom March 4,1910 in Mineral Ridge, Ohio, a son of Samuel and Emma Baldwin. He grew up in Youngstown and was a 1926 graduate of South High School at the age of sixteen. He graduated from Youngstown College in 1934 with an ABA Degree in Accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant for sixty years. He was an accountant for Simonton Jones Accounting Firm for forty years, then was self-employed for twenty years, retiring at the age of eighty-six. He was a member of the Youngstown College Alumni Association, Class of 1934, member of the Society of CPA's Association and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was a member of Boardman Christian Church for nearly 40 years, and a former member of Leffingwell Country Club of Canfield. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Ruth Patton Baldwin, whom he married February 15, 1936. They recently celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniverary together. He loved his family, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. He was the beloved father of sons, William Baldwin of Newport Beach, California, Ronald Baldwin of Bowie, Maryland, and daughter, Shirley Nestor of Laurel, Maryland; grandfather to eight grandchildren and great-grandfather to twelve great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Howard Baldwin who resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
