Andrew "Buzz" Martinko, Jr. was called home on Wednesday June 10, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, with his family by his side.
He was born on May 16, 1950, in Youngstown, the son of the late Andrew Michael and Philomena Rose "Phyllis" (Mastadonna) Martinko, Sr.
Buzz graduated from Campbell Memorial High School in 1968, and soon after started working for the American Packaging Company on the assembly line. He then worked for Southside and Northside hospitals in the maintenance department until his retirement.
For his entire life, Buzz was the world's greatest Cleveland Browns fan and an avid golfer. He belonged to the Eastern Orthodox Men's Golf League where he shared many laughs and memories with friends. He enjoyed watching Old-time movies, especially Westerns, and anything involving Star Wars, Superman, and Batman.
Andrew married the love of his life Mary Christine "Tina" (DiSalvo) Martinko on October 11, 1980, at Saint Dominic's Church. Besides his wife of 45 years, Andrew will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his son Derek J. (Christina) Martinko of Flemington, New Jersey, his daughter Alicia R. (Stephen) Orr of Boardman, and his three grandchildren who were the light of his life, Brayden and Augusta Martinko and Ethan Orr. He also leaves his sister Mary Catherine (Ronald) Zockle of Canfield and his sisters-in-law Nancy DiVito, Toni DiSalvo, Judge Renee DiSalvo (Michael) Ramun and Jamie (Don) Patrick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Phyllis Martinko.
Family and friends may call from 10 to 11:50 a.m. on Friday June 19, 2026, at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
