Anne Bridget (Ruddy) Moore, 99 Ann died February 17 at 12.55 am in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born September 17, 1914 in Lowellville, Ohio. She was the daughter of Michael and Mary Ruddy, both of whom were from Ireland. Anne graduated from Lowellville High School in 1932 and was captain of the girl's basketball team. She graduated from Kent State University with a teaching degree in elementary education. Thereafter, she returned to Lowelville and taught for 10 years in their elementary School. In the summer of 1944, Anne worked for the Office of Strategic Services in Washington D.C. to support the war effort. She married Attorney Thomas M Moore in 1945 and for most of her married life lived on Bancroft Avenue in Brownlee Woods. She was a past member of St. Nicholas Church in Struthers and was a charter member of St. Luke Church in Boardman. While at St. Luke, she played the piano and organ for the church for over 30 years. Her husband, Thomas M. Moore, died in 1999. She has three children - Peggie Serabin of Columbus, OH, Ed Moore (Barbara) of Fort Wayne, IN and TJ Moore (Shawn) of Johns Creek, GA. She has eight grandchildren: Stephanie (Jeff) Lewis of Columbus, Lesley (Dan) Mulligan of Piscataway, NJ, Mackenzie Moore, Megan Moore, Maddie Moore and Karlie More of Johns Creek, GA, Mike Moore of Fort Wayne and Kelly (Dan) Cardello of Boston. She also has five great grandchildren - Alexa, Max and Beckett Lewis of Columbus and Chance and Oliver Moore of Fort Wayne. She is preceded in death by her brothers Joe and John Ruddy of Chicago, sisters Mary Curran of Chicago, Peg Marquard and Genevieve Smith of Youngstown; also, niece Maureen (Smith) Gaffney of Syracuse, NY and nephew Walter Pat Smith of Dallas, TX. The pillars of her life were her Christian faith, her Irish heritage and her family. She was a very caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her awesome stories of family and life have become our stories. We will miss her greatly and the lessons she taught us will influence our lives forever. A funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, at St. Luke Catholic Church, 5235 South Ave, Boardman, OH 44512 at 12:30 pm. Calling hours are 11:00-12:00 at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512.
