Anne Marie Marino Massullo, 77 CANFIELD--Private funeral services were held on December 18, 2008, at St. Anthony Church in Youngstown for Anne Marie Massullo. After a valiant four year struggle with breast cancer, Mrs. Massullo died on Wednesday, December 17, at St Elizabeth Health Center with family by her side. Anne Marie Marine Massullo was born on May 1,1931 in Youngstown. Her parents were Andrew and Amelia Del Bene Marino. Her only sibling, an older brother, Charles, was a United States Air Force Captain. He was killed in 1953 while performing duties as a reconnaissance pilot during the Korean War. Mrs. Massullo graduated from Ursuline High School in Youngstown. She went on to attend the University of Richmond in Virginia and graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Youngstown State University. On January 18, 1960, she married Edmund Massullo in San Francisco. They remained in San Francisco until early the following year when a work opportunity for Dr. Massullo brought the couple back to Youngstown where they made their home. Mrs. Massullo was a studied interior decorator and an inveterate antiques collector, having vast knowledge of the subject. She leaves a son, C. Mark Massullo of Chicago, a daughter Anne (Michael) Sabella of Canfield, and three grandsons, Lorenzo, Andrew, and Niccolas. On September 4,2008, her husband, Edmund, preceded her in death.
