Anthony Marcovecchio, 84 CANFIELD - There will be a resurrection mass at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard , celebrated by Rev. Timothy O'Neil for Anthony Marcovecchio, 84, who passed away Monday evening at Greenbrier. Anthony was born May 3, 1930, in Youngstown and has been an area resident most of his life. He graduated from South High School with the class of 1948 and received his teaching degree from Youngstown College. He was a veteran in the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a teacher and coach for various Local High Schools, coaching football at Cardinal Mooney and basketball at Jackson Milton. He will be greatly missed by his wife Bess Stanos whom he married in November of 1999. He also leaves his two step-children Peter P. (Laurena) Stanos of Nashville, TN , Lisa Stanos of Potomac, MD and two grandchildren Peter and Alexia Lalos of Potomac, MD. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church prior to the funeral mass.
