Antonette "Toni" Ellashek, 92 YOUNGSTOWN-There will be a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Duane Jesse for Antonette "Toni" Ellashek, 92, who passed away on Wednesday January 27,2016. Toni was born November 1, 1923, in Youngstown, a daughter of Vito & Cecelia Reinhaltz Taormina and was a lifelong area resident. She was employed at the General Electric Hughes Street Lamp plant, retiring on the plant's closing. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo. She always looked forward to Bingo Wednesday at the Brandywine Club House. Antonette was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her husband Richard H. Ellashek Sr. whom she married on April 27, 1946 died on October 18, 1979 after celebrating 33 years of marriage. She is survived by her three sons, Richard H.(Linda) Ellashek Jr., Thomas (Peg) Ellashek, Donald (Cindy) Ellashek; a daughter Deborah (Michael) Mondora; six grandchildren, Megan Ellashek, Danielle Jones, Thomas Ellashek, Donald (Lori) Ellashek, Bradley Mondora and Nicholas Mondora; four great-grandchildren, Evan and Victoria Jones , Ava and Ayden Ellashek. She is also survived by two sisters, Eleanor DiLullo of Girard and Barbara Scimeca of Cleveland; a brother-in-law Frank Deramo of Girard; sisters-in-law, Janet Taormina, Margaret Ellashek, Jeanette Ellashek, Jean Ellashek all of Youngstown and Hylda Gorniak of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Antonette was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Taormina and four sisters, Lucille Deramo, Frances Bucci, RoseMarie Pernotto and Josephine Merlock. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral home and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Rd. Youngstown, OH 44511 prior to her service.
