Archie R. Sunderman, 79 YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be at noon Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, officiated by Pastor Ronald Royalty for Archie R. Sunderman, 79, who passed away Sunday morning. Archie was born March 9, 1931, in St. Marys, W. Va., a son of Archie A. and Osa Belle Kirkbride Sunderman. He worked for Republic Steel and enjoyed fishing and bowling. Archie was an Army veteran. His wife, the former Clara J. Moon, whom he married May 3, 1953, passed away Feb. 26, 1997. He leaves to cherish his memory, five daughters, Betty Kelly, Barbara Sunderman, Osa May (Major) Lee, Mary Lou (Rick) Sunderman and Lisa Sue Shorter, all of Youngstown; four sons, Robert A. (Becky) Sunderman, Chester (Marie) Browning, John Glen Sunderman and Eddie Sunderman, all of Youngstown; one brother, Max Sunderman of West Virginia; three sisters, Caroline Albright of North Carolina, Ova Jean Shingleton and Martha Pickens, both of West Virginia; 39 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nola Hathman. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.
