Arthur L. Powell, 79 Poland - Funeral services will be officiated by Dr. David Gilbert at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Poland Presbyterian Church for Arthur L. Powell, 79, who passed away Friday afternoon. Arthur was born Nov. 24, 1930, in Youngstown, a son of James and Hazel Wilson Powell. He worked at the Youngstown Sheet & Tube and L.T.V. Steel as a scarfer and in the scheduling department. Arthur was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church. His love in life was his children and grandchildren. Arthur was always there to help someone in need. He was a cook in the Army. Arthur leaves to cherish his memory, his wife the former Rose J. Zahrobsky, whom he married June 10, 1961; two daughters, Sandra J. (Michael Jr.) Albrecht of Lowellville and Diane L. (Michael) Bowers of Dayton; a brother, William (Margie) Powell of Ocala, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lauren Albrecht, Michael Albrecht III and Brandon Bowers. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Jr., Edgar and Donald Powell. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
