Barbara M. Griffith, a beloved member of our community, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, October 8, at her home. Born on September 2, 1950, in Youngstown, Ohio, Barbara was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Bartos) Budinsky.

A 1968 graduate of Boardman High School, Barbara pursued her passion for education and earned a degree from Youngstown State University. She began her teaching career at Warren Western Reserve High School, later transitioning to Youngstown State University and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center in Canfield, where she retired in 2012.

Beyond her professional achievements, Barbara was an active member of Saint Catherine of Siena Parish, Saint Charles Church, and the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. Her greatest joys in life revolved around spending quality time with her family, assisting others, and nurturing her beloved plants, particularly her beautiful rose varieties.

In retirement, Barbara traveled extensively with her husband, James, whom she had married on November 17, 1973. Together, they cherished each moment and created lasting memories.

Barbara is survived by her children, Michael Griffith, Christina (Genesis) Brown, and Mark (Shawn Chrystal) Griffith; her brothers, Edward (Marie) Budinsky, Robert (Diane) Budinsky, and Marty Budinsky; her sisters, Marian Budinsky and Monica (Tom) Matkin; and her grandchildren, Keighan Griffith, Griffin Brown, and Harper Brown.

She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ryleigh Griffith.

Visitation will be at the Fox Funeral Home on Sunday October 18, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. to express their condolences. A Mass Christian of burial will be Monday October 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish, St. Charles Church. Barbara will be laid to rest at Lake Park Cemetery.

A memorial contribution can be made to Saint Vincent DePaul Society at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish, located at Saint Charles Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
