Barbara Frances Styka, 88 YOUNGSTOWN - There will be a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. Philip Rogers for Barbara Frances Styka, 88, who passed away Monday evening at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center. Barbara was born Nov. 20, 1926, in Youngstown, a daughter of Fritz and Virginia Carr Brenner and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from South High School, and worked for many years as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell and AT&T. She was a member and past secretary at the Pioneers Telephone with Ameritech Retirement Organization, she volunteered at the lobby desk at Park Vista and for Angel's for Animals. She will be missed by her two daughters, Gail (James) Lemmon and Judith Styka both of Boardman. Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Patrice D. Styka-Riehl and her sister, Virginia Morgan. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church, prior to the Resurrection Mass.
