Barry G. Simstad, 64 YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, celebrated by the Rev. Edward Noga for Barry G. Simstad, 64, who passed away Friday afternoon. Barry was born Sept. 21, 1947, in Youngstown, a son of the late George and Dorothy Brenner Simstad, and has been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Chaney High School with the Class of 1965, attended Adrian College and graduated from Youngstown State University. He retired after working many years for CSX Railroad and also spent much of his time as a substitute teacher and travel guide for student trips. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Molly Fox, whom he married May 23, 1984; two daughters, Lindsay Simstad of Warren and Megan Simstad of Berea; a sister, Debra Allyn of Rochester, N.Y.; a mother-in-law, Alice Fox of Boardman; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Besides his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John E. Fox. Friends may call from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, one hour prior to his service.
