Poland, Betty E. Freedy, 90 Prayers will be 9:30 Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Edward P. Noga at 10 at St Patrick Church, Youngstown, for Betty E. Freedy who passed away peacefully Wednesday morning. Betty was born March 12, 1922 in Youngstown, a daughter of Frank and Agnes Delaney Osborne. She a 1940 graduate of Ursuline High School and worked for Strouss Dept Store in the Linen and Silver Depts at Downtown, Boardman Plaza and Southern Park Mall stores. She was a life long member of Stanislaus Church and its Senior Citizens Group. Betty was always on the go, she loved going shopping, going out to dinner and especially attending all for her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events. Her husband Edward J. Freedy, whom she married July 17, 1947, passed away March 22, 1986. She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Sally Yount of Youngstown, Patti (Dan) Mullenax of Boardman and Susan (Greg) Moore of Poland., nine grandchildren and six great grand daughters. Besides her husband she is preceded in death by her sister Rita Mae Sliman and a son-in-law Dwane Yount. Friends may call from 5 to 8 Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
