Betty K. Morrison, 83 GIRARD - There will be funeral services at noon on Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, celebrated by Pastor Peter Del Negro for Betty K. Morrison, 83, who passed away Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Betty was born in Youngstown, on April 9, 1928, a daughter of Raymond S. and Martha A. Barnes Morrison and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from South High School, class of 1948 and worked 35 years for Feldman Brothers Produce. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Youngstown Foods in the produce center. Betty was a long time member of the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church. She was on the South High School Class Reunion Committee, was in many bowling leagues and loved to play cards. She enjoyed working on crafts, and taking trips to the Mountaineer. Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn M. Morrison, who passed July 25, 2011. She leaves a long time friend, Dorothy Weitzman and her family, Dean and Janice Weitzman and children Amanda, Sara and Melissa, all of Girard and Doug and Sherri Weitzman and children Ryan and Kaelyn, all of Poland; a very good friend, Diane Colapietro of Niles; and many other friends. Friends may call one hour before services on Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Fox Funeral Home.
