Bienvenido Diaz, 90 "Together Again" YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday officiated by the Rev. David Thomas at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, for Bienvenido Diaz, 90, who passed away Sunday morning. Bienvenido was born March 11, 1921, in Puerto Rico, a son of Pedro and Jasinta Moralez Diaz. He came to Youngstown in 1952, where he worked at the Youngstown Sheet & Tube's Cold Strip Mill. He loved to garden, growing flowers and vegetables and in turn giving them to family and friends. His family was his life and loved to have his family over for Sunday dinners. Bienvenido enjoyed baseball and watching the Cleveland Indians. His wife, the former Castora Perdomo, whom he married Dec. 17, 1943, died Aug. 24, 2010. He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Ramona (Lou) Sigurani of Boardman; three sons, Mike (Dolly) Diaz of Austintown, Joe (Ruby) Diaz of Berlin Center and Carlos (Diane) Diaz of Hubbard; one sister, Cataline Diaz of Puerto Rica; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Besides his wife, Bienvenido was preceded in death by a daughter, Nellie Martin; a brother; six sisters; two grandsons, Mickey Siqurani and Rick Ortiz; and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Brunner and Dominic Vyaz. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
