Carl A. Heydle, Sr., 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Robert J. Siffrin at 6 P.M. Wednesday At. St. Edward Church, Youngstown, for Carl A. Heydle, Sr., 86 of Austintown, who passed away peacefully Thursday evening. Carl was born November 29, 1929, in Youngstown, a son of Julius and Alameda Findley Heydle. Carl attended Meadville High School, and was a truck driver for Anderson Suburban Delivery and Herbert Trucking. He later worked for Heydle Heating and in the maintenance dept for Austinwoods Nursing Center. Carl was a member of St. Luke Church and loved to sing. He was a Marine veteran, and was stationed in Hawaii, China and numerous pacific islands. His wife the former Patricia A. Smith, whom he married June 22, 1949, passed away August 15, 2001. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Carol (Mike) McBride of Liberty, Pattie (Walt) Shoenberger of Youngstown, Carl Heydle, Jr. of Boardman, John Heydle of Houston, Texas and James (Nancy) Heydle of Boardman, a daughter in law Renee Heydle of Youngstown, 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.. Beside his wife, Carl is preceded in death by a son Raymond Heydle, daughter in law Rhonda Heydle, brothers Thomas Heydle, Fred Heydle, Larry Heydle, Herman Heydle and Jackie Heydle, sisters Barbara Hutch and Margaret Masco and grandsons Raymond Heydle, Jr. and Marc Shoenberger. Friends may call from 3:30 to 5:45 Wednesday at St. Edward Church, Youngstown. The Heydle family would like to thank Ed and Diane Reese, Briarfield Care Center and Hospice of the Valley for the wonderful care and compassion they provided Carl during his long illness.
