Carole Shirilla Mashorda, 75 YOUNGSTOWN - There will be a funeral service officiated by Pastor Jim Leone at 4 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home for Carole Shirilla Mashorda, 75 who passed away Monday morning. Carole was born February 2,1940 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Ann Borosky Shirilla and was a lifelong area resident. She went to South High and graduated with the Class of 1958. She was a homemaker and worked in the janitorial department at Astro Shapes until retiring. She enjoyed word search puzzles, loved to play bingo and was known for her television watching and her love of "sweets" but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Cheri (Dan) Skrobut of Columbiana; her two sons, Sam "Sambo" Mashorda of Houston, TX, Joe (Shereen) Mashorda of Austintown; her six grandchildren, Shaun Rottstedt, Danny Skrobut, Jennifer Mashorda, Allyson Mashorda, Connor Mashorda, Cameron Mashorda; her sister-in-law Jean Shirilla and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her sister Marianne Riley and her brother Joe Shirilla. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service.
