Catherine "Kay" Lutz- 94 YOUNGSTOWN- There were private funeral services held for Catherine Lutz , 94, who passed away Tuesday evening at her home surrounded by her loving family. Kay was born April 18, 1922 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Brinza Thurik and was a life-long area resident. She worked at General Electric lighting plant, in housekeeping at South Side Hospital and retired as a nurse's aid from Assumption Nursing Home. Her husband Stanley H. Lutz whom she married August 3, 1963; died on December 20, 2011 after 48 years of marriage. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Dominic (Deborah) Ciccarelli Jr. of Youngstown, Stephen Lutz of Oklahoma City, OK; three daughters, Catherine L. Lutz of Boardman, Lynda (Douglas) Witchey of Burghill, Rita (Douglas) Bracht of Youngstown; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great greatgrandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Kay was preceded in death by an infant daughter Janice Ciccarelli ; a grandson, James Ciccarelli ; a great grandson, Jarron Shamblin; two brothers, John and James Thurik; four sisters, her twin Sr. Ann Mary, Loretta Garcar, JoAnn Alexander, Therese Droney; and their dog Buddy.
