Charles T. Cartwright, 85 STRUTHERS - Prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. on Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass, celebrated by the Rev. Edward Noga at 10 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Church (Sacred Heart), 400 Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown, OH 44506, for Charles T. Cartwright, 85, who passed away peacefully Monday morning at his residence. Charles was born March 29, 1927, in Youngstown, a son of Earl and Lucy Scanlon Cartwright and was a life-long area resident. He graduated from East High School and retired after many years with Republic Steel. He was a veteran who served his country with the U.S. Navy on the USS Mann. Charles was a member of Union Local No. 1330, belonged to Sacred Heart parish, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Poland. Charles coached little league baseball for his sons in Struthers and maintained Struthers High School Fields. Also he played softball, golfing, basketball, bowling and hunting and enjoyed fishing, and loved yard work and planting flowers. His wife, the former Norma Jean Fullerman, whom he married April 17, 1948, passed away on Dec. 10, 2009. He will be greatly missed by his two daughters, Janice L.
