NORTH LIMA- Charles "Jim" J. Snyder, 76 There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon Friday at St. Patrick Church celebrated by Fr. Edward Noga for Jim Snyder who passed away Sunday afternoon at his residence. Jim was born June 1, 1940, in Youngstown, a son of the late Charles B. and Anna Dunn Snyder and has been a lifetime area resident. He attended Ursuline and South High School graduating with the Class of 1958. He retired in 1997after working many years as carpenter in Local #171 working for many area contractors. Jim belonged to the National Guard, volunteered at United Way, Action and St. Patrick's Church. He was a collector of Antique cars, enjoyed working with his hands, liked reading and spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 38 years the former Debbie Sheely whom he married on June 24,1978 . He also leaves to cherish his memory, his sister, Joan (David) Bobovnyik; her seven children, Vicki (Daryl) Mincey, Denise Bobovnyik, Debbie DeMatteo, David (Lisa) Bobovnyik, Doug (Lonnie) Bobovnyik, Danny (Cheryl) Bobovnyik, Diana (Victor) Parez; four brothers, Charles Osborne of Youngstown, Richard Snyder of Columbus , Denis and John Snyder both of Boston, MA and several great nieces and great nephews. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Church prior to the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers the family requests any monetary donations be made in Jim's name to St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave, Youngstown, OH 44507.
