Boardman- Dallas T. Heston,78 Funeral Services will be conducted by Rev. Ash Welsh at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home ,Boardman for Dallas T. Heston, 78 of Boardman who passed away Friday morning. Dallas was born March 26, 1931 in McKees Rocks,P.A. a son of Thomas & Mary Louise Griffith Whyle and was adopted by his aunt and uncle Ezma & Dallas C. Heston as an infant . He was a graduate of Girard High School and attended Lafayette and Mullenburg College in Pennsylvania. Dallas worked as a design engineer for several local engineering firms. He served in the Army in Korea, while there he earned several medals including two bronze stars, Soldier medal , Good Conduct medal and Korean War Service medal. Dallas was a member of Boardman United Methodist Church, Boardman Kiwanis, the Blind Support Group and the 24th Infantry Division and 3rd combat engineering association. He has been a very devoted leader in Boy Scouts for 38 years and was an assistant Scout Master of Troup 46, member of Camp Stambaugh Property Committee, the Advancement Committee, district member at large, order of the Arrow vigil member. Dallas attended the 1973 & 1977 National Jamboree's and attended Pailmont Scout Ranch. He received Scoutings highest honor, the Silver Beaver, as well as many other awards. Dallas is survived by his wife the former Shirley Liska, whom he married Aug 9, 1958, two sons Mark (Christine) and Todd (Mary Ann) a beloved grandson Adrian all of Boardman a sister Mary Lynn Baker of Damascus, Maryland He is preceded in death by his parents.
