Obituary

David A. Caudill (1966-2015) On Monday May 18, 2015 Dave left Earth to go make Heaven a better place. He was a 1984 graduate of McDonald High School. Dave fought many ailments over the last several years, but he never allowed them to change his positive outlook on life. He always had a kind word for everyone he met. Dave was always there for anyone that may have been down on their luck. He was a sports fanatic and loyal Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed going to the sporting events of his children, step children, nieces, and nephews. He loved a good game of cards and the occasional game of bingo. You could always find a hand held Yahtzee game in the drawer of his bedside table. Most evenings you could find him watching Jeopardy and The Family Feud. He loved sitting with his friends under the tree at his apartment complex. He was also an avid supporter of local community theater. Dave had a contagious sense of humor and the uncanny ability to turn anyone's bad day into a good one. Dave was preceded in death by his mother the late Mary Jane Wheeler. After the passing of his mother, Dave was brought into the home of Robert and Alice Hobbs whom he lovingly called Mom and Dad. He is survived by his son Josh of Modesto, California; his Mom and Dad, Robert and Alice Hobbs of Columbiana, Ohio; brothers Bob Hobbs (Wendy) and Tom Hobbs (Tabbi) of Acworth, Georgia, Bucky Hobbs (Toni) of Cartersville, Georgia; Kevin Hobbs (Dawn) of Waterford, Connecticut; Joe Hobbs (Shannon) of Avon, Ohio; Ray Hobbs (Nicole) of Salem, Ohio; step children Angela, Amanda, Leanne, and Brandon Stilwill of Modesto, California; grandchildren Colten and Holly of Modesto, California; and sister Linda Bey of Perris, California. Dave will be missed by all who knew him. He often quoted the late Randy Pausch by saying, "In life you can either be a Tigger or an Eeyore." Despite everything that David went through, he always chose to be a Tigger. An opportunity for friends and loved ones to offer their condolences or memories of Dave will be held at St. Jude's Church in Columbiana, Ohio beginning at 10:00 am June 2nd, 2015. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in honor of Dave.
