Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Thursday  officiated by Pastor Randy Brunko, at Evangel Baptist Church, Boardman for David H. Davis, 79 of Youngstown, who passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon with his family by his side.

David was born  February 23, 1938 in Youngstown, a son of Howard and Jessie Bryson Davis.  He was a mechanic at the downtown Youngstown Post Office.  David was a member of Evangel Baptist church and several bowling leagues.  He loved spending time with family and friends and working on cars.  David was an Army veteran.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife the former Martha S. Powell, whom he married May 23, 1964, his son John D. (Sherry) Davis of Youngstown, his brother Ralph (Sandy) Davis of Youngstown, his four grandchildren Christopher Scafuri, Jackie Scafuri, Joey Scafuri and Samantha Davis, and two great grandchildren Saint Scafuri and Natalie Bell.

Besides his parents, David is preceded in death by a daughter Susan Longoria and a brother Fred Davis.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday at Evangel Baptist Church.
