Diana R. "Mombo" Christoff, 78 Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10 A.M. at St. Dominic Catholic Church celebrated by Rev. William Rock for Diana R. "Mombo" Christoff, 78 of Boardman who passed away Thursday morning at her home with her loving family by her side. Diana was born June 4, 1935 in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of Clifton M. and Adeline Britt Wilson and was raised in Brooklyn. She moved to the Youngstown area in 1955 and married the love of her life, John J. Christoff on January 13, 1956 in St. Dominic Church. She was a homemaker and very proud and passionate about her role as Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Her faith was very important to her; she has been a longtime parishioner of St. Dominic Parish. She was very active there especially the years her children attended St. Dominic School. She was V.P. of the Home and School, a member of the Alter Rosary Society, Legion of Mary Auxiliary, Novice of Dominican Laity and sang in the Choir in the late 60's and 70's. Diana loved to travel, especially enjoying two spiritual pilgrimages with her husband John to Medjoure, Yugoslavia and to Rome and the Holy Land. She will be greatly missed by her husband of over 57 years John J. Christoff. She also leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters Mary Beth (Gary ) Komsa of Poland, Ann Marie Christoff of Canton; five sons, John L. Christoff of Melbourne, FL, Michael C. (Ginna) Christoff of Poland, Mark A. (Mary Beth) Christoff of Mineral Ridge, William F. (Karen) of Pittsburgh, Kenneth F. (Jennifer) Christoff of New Middletown; a brother, Clifton J (Edye) Wilson of Melbourne, FL; fifteen grandchildren, Michael J. (Ashley) Christoff, Mollie (Joel) DeSocio , Mathew J. Christoff, Catherine Komsa, Sarah Komsa, Mark Christoff, John Paul Christoff, Eric Christoff, Nicholas Christoff, Bryce Christoff, Alexander Christoff, Christian Christoff, Samantha Gurd, Brendan Gurd and Faith Rose Christoff; two great-granddaughters, Jocelyn and Sasha Christoff. Mombo loved children and her family and had wonderful daughters-in-law, and son-in-law. Friends may call from 4 p.m to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home. Diana's family would like to thank the Staff of Hospice of the Valley, especially Emma, Karen, Bailey and Karen for the loving care they provided to Mombo.
