Obituary for Dolores "Dee" Conway,86 Youngstown- A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Fox Funeral Home in Boardman followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Dolores "Dee" Conway, formerly of the Westside of Youngstown, who died Thursday afternoon at Austinwoods Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. She was born January 23, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Konesky. Dolores was married to John "Jack" Conway. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2003. She was a homemaker, a charter member of Saint Christine Church, a member of the Auxiliary of the American Legion and a member of numerous bowling leagues and card groups. Dolores enjoyed visiting new places and traveled to many states with her husband for his army reunions. She and her husband also made two trips to Ireland with Father Kelly, former pastor at St. Christine. However, her favorite thing was having her entire family together around the table for dinner and laughter for all holidays in The House that Jack Built. She leaves three sons, William (Judy) Conway, Michael (Mary Beth) Conway and John (Kathy) Conway all of Youngstown, two daughters, Shirley (Tom) O'Masta of Rochester Hills, MI. and Kathleen (Scott) Bass of Franklin TN. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Austinwoods Nursing Home and Crossroads Hospice for the kind and compassionate care that they provided to Dolores as well as the support they provided to the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Dolores' favorite charity, or St. Christine Church. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
