BOARDMAN-Dolores Falgiani,85 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Saint Columba Cathedral Celebrated by Rev. MSGR. Peter Polando for Dolores M. Slapkasky Falgiani, 85, of Boardman, who passed away on Thursday at her home. Dolores was born August 15, 1930 in Youngstown , daughter of Sam and Anna Lesnok Slapkasky. She was a lifelong area resident of the area. Dolores was a graduate from North High School and attended college for four years. She was an avid reader and closely followed all world and local events. She was the private secretary for the president of and local Steel company, She was member of St. Columba Church and was an avid traveler, her and her husband traveled all over the world and spent most of their winters in Pompano Beach, Florida. Dolores was extremely kind hearted and very charitable towards others and her Church, she had a very special love for animals and animal Charity. She would regularly " adopt" strays who would be welcomed to her home and cared for. Dolores married her husband Albert J. Falgiani on March 22, 1986 he predeceased her August 8, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory many Brothers in law and Sisters in law plus several cousins and nieces and nephews and many good friends. Besides her parents and her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her brother Robert D. Sampson who passed away October 4, 2015. Friends and family may call from 9 to 9:50 a.m. at St. Columba Church prior to mass.
