Obituary

A Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday At the Fox Funeral Home for Dolores June Larkin Visher, who passed away April 1, 2017 after suffering from a stroke.

Dolores was born on December 2, 1932 in Youngstown, Ohio to Roy Allen and Gertrude Alice Miller Larkin.  She lived most of her childhood in Smith's Corners, Austintown, Ohio, graduating from Austintown Fitch High School.  Dolores married William "Bill" Howard Visher on September 20, 1957.  He died on May 14, 1959.

Dolores worked at Averbecks for twenty years.  She lived with her mother Gertrude for many years.  The two of them, along with her sister Evelyn had many adventures.  Dolores loved life and lived it to her fullest.  She  loved going to the casino, playing poker and spending time with her nephew, Larry and his family.  She loved watching the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and NASCAR.  She was always positive and looked for the good in everyone.    She loved talking about family history, especially stories of her youth and started many of her stories with, "I want to tell you something." She also had an uncle and many cousins in the area. She loved attending the annual Osborne Reunion.  She enjoyed babysitting and would always sneak the kids donuts and other goodies.  For many years Dolores suffered from back problems and arthritis, however, she never let that get her down and retained her independence, pushing herself to venture out.

Dolores leaves to cherish her memory  three nephews and their families:  Larry (Debbie) Larkin of Boardman, Oh., who she resided  with for 16 years and their  children: Kristy, Larry and  Jacob Larkin, Tony (Becca) Stafford and Gina (Rick) Wyant. Nephew David (Dawn) Larkin of Youngstown, Oh. and  their children David, Maddie, Sammy and Joey. And nephew Roy (Tammy) Huett of Michigan and their children Kevin, Roy, Jr. Anthony, Samantha, Nichole and Christina.  She also had many more great-great nieces and nephews and her uncle Stanley Miller.  She loved them all and tried to make each one feel special.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband,  brother Larry L. Larkin and sister Evelyn Deavers.
