Dominic L. Martin, 78 Prayers will begin at 9:30 A.M. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev Philip Rogers at 10 A.M. At St. Charles Church Boardman for Dominic L. Martin 78 of Boardman who passed away Sunday evening. Dominic was born June 15, 1931 in Canfield, a son of Frank & Maggie Cirillo Martin . Dominic was a 1948 honors graduate at Canfield High School and received at bachelor degree in education from Youngstown College, where he was president of his freshman and junior class, and was Vice-president of the Student Council . He also was a moderator for the radio station at the College.. Dominic was the first male teacher hired at the Boardman School District, teaching at Market Street Elementary. He was a member of the church and was a avid sports fan. Dominic served as a lieutenant in the Army during the Korean War. Dominic leaves to cherish his memory two sisters Angela (Dr. Robert) Gilliland and Rose Savich both of Boardman brother Frank (Edith) Martin of Boardman a step ,brother Anthony (Audrey) Martin of Canfield and multiple nieces and nephews. Besides his parent he is preceded in death by a half brother Joseph Martin and two half sisters Theresa Booth and Nellie Danzo.. friends may call 5 to 8 Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
