BOARDMAN-Donald R. Bucko, 70 Prayers will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Joseph Fata at 10:00 a.m. at St .Luke Church for Donald R. Bucko,70, who passed away Friday morning at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Donald was born February 3, 1942 in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Ann Granchie Bucko and was a life-long area resident. He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School with the Class of 1960 and attended YSU. Donald was a partner in Steel Valley Engineering. He sold his interest in 2009, but continued working from home. He was a long time member of St. Luke parish and their Holy Name Society and St. Dominic's Golf League. He leaves his wife Mary Grace Howard whom he married August 12, 1967. He will be greatly missed by his two daughters Maureen Bucko of Howland, Kathleen (Patrick) Deagan of Copley; a son Michael (Adrienne) Bucko of Olympia, WA; two sisters, Rita Matyi of Poland, and Ruth (Joseph) DeVincent of Boardman; five grandchildren, Jared, Allison, and Caroline Deagan, Madison and Danika Bucko, Cameron and Kendell Godfrey. Brother and Sister-in-laws Carol and Bill Cunningham, Michael Howard, John & Susan Cline and Tony Howard, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents , Donald was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Bucko . Donald's family wishes to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Health Center SICU for compassionate care given to him.
