Donald "Donnie" D. Gaudio Jr., 54 BOARDMAN - Prayers will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by the Very Rev Msgr. Michael Cariglio Jr. at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica Church in Youngstown, for Donald "Donnie" D. Gaudio Jr., 54, who passed away after a brief illness at the Cleveland Clinic Monday, with his family by his side. Donnie was born Dec. 27, 1961, in Youngstown, a son of Donald D. and Barbara Luscre Gaudio Sr. He attended St. Luke grade school and was a 1980 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. He excelled in football and baseball and was a avid New York Yankee and Dallas Cowboy fan. Besides his parents of Boardman, Donnie leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Cassidy and Cameron (fiancAC. Josh Donatelli); a sister, Tina (Bill) Evans of Pittsburgh; Dawn Gaudio, the mother of his children; his greatest joy, his grandson, Anthony, who referred to him as "Pa"; aunts Darlene (Kevin) Mitchell of Florida and Janice (Nestor) Barrios of Boardman; uncle Ralph (Kathie) Guido of Cleveland; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Tony and Peggy Luscre, and Ralph and Edna Gaudio; and uncle Sonny Luscre. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman. Material tributes can be made in Donnie's memory, to The Donnie Gaudio Fund, in care of Key Bank, 5712 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512. Donnie's family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Cleveland Clinic for their exceptional care.
