Obituary

Edward P. Marchiori, 97 There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. Michael Marcelli for Edward P. Marchiori, 97, of Boardman who passed away Sunday evening at North Side Medical Center. Edward was born January 21, 1916 in Brockway, PA, a son of the late John and Ursula Marchiori and has been an area resident since 1925 . He graduated from South High School with the Class of 1934 and was a veteran who served in the United States Navy. He worked as a Machinist Forman and retired from LTV Steel in 1977. He was a long time parishioner at St. Charles where he was a minister of hospitality, and an usher. He enjoyed wood carving and bowling and was a member of the Camelot Senior Mixed Bowling league and the Amaron Senior Men's Bowling Leagues. His wife Maureen A. Smith whom he married on September 21, 1940 died on January 21, 1998 after 57 years of marriage. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Lynne "Stephen" Janis of Boardman; two granddaughters Tamara "Dan" Deacon of Plainfield, IL and Allison "Jason" Marsden of Canton; six great-grandchildren Madison, Mitchell, Miranda and Mason Deacon, Wesley and Kobi Marsden; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Ed was preceded in death by five sisters, Agnes Marchiori, Helen O' Donnell, Louise Pannozo, Sr. Josephine Marchiori, Sr. Frances Marchiori; three brothers, Vincent , Arthur and Alfred Marchiori. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday morning at St. Charles Church.
