Obituary

Edward F. "Eddie" O'Brien, 86 YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be officiated by the Rev. Edward P. Noga at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman for Edward F. "Eddie" O'Brien, 86, who passed away Friday. Eddie was born Jan. 21, 1923, in Youngstown, a son of Christopher and Margaret McNeeley O'Brien. He was a 1943 graduate of South High School. Eddie worked at the Main Post Office Downtown for 35 years. He was a member of St. Dominic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 274. He loved spending time at Cedar Point and telling everyone what a great place it is, and driving his 1960 Chevy Impala convertible. He leaves to cherish his memory, two nephews, Terry McCoy and William Whalen; and three nieces, Janet Rae Yacopi, Colleen Cataline and Maureen Carron. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Mary McCoy and Eileen Whalen; and a brother, Raymond O'Brien. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the Fox Funeral Home.
