YOUNGSTOWN-Elizabeth "Liz" Hill Kelly There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 5.p.m. Monday at Saint Christine Church, celebrated by Rev. John Keehner and Msgr. John Zuraw for Elizabeth "Liz" Kelly, 93, who passed away on Thursday morning at Hospice house surrounded by her family. Liz was born September 8, 1922, in Sagamore, PA, a daughter of Thomas Barker and Isabella Johnston Hill and has lived most of her life in Youngstown. She graduated from South High School, attended Youngstown College and retired from Ohio Edison. She was a charter member of St. Christine's parish, attending the first mass at Pioneer Pavilion. She belonged to the Infant Jesus of Prague Society, Seton III, South Side Bridge Club, local and national EX-POW Associations. Her husband John P. Kelly, whom she married on October 5, 1946 died on July 22, 1989, after 42 years of marriage. She will be greatly missed by her six children, John "Jack" Kelly of Hilton Head, SC; Bill (Martha) Kelly of Jacksonville, OR; Christine (Ralph) Ricci of Indian Trail, NC; Barbara (Charles) Hunter of Stow, OH; Betsy (John) Matey of Boardman; Susan (James) McMahon of Powell, OH; brother-in-law Ed Costello;11 grandchildren, Jennifer Ricci, Amy (Donald) Ellis, Jake Hunter, Hailey (Erich) Norum, Kai Kelly, Patrick Matey, Ian Matey, Kayla Matey (Andrew Samuels) ; Bridget, Matthew and Evan McMahon; and 3 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Liz was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Hill and two sisters, Ina Blackiston and Isabell Costello. In lieu of flowers Liz requested any monetary donations be made to the Ursuline Motherhouse Scholarship Fund, 4250 Shields Rd. Canfield, OH 44406 or Hospice House, 2803 Sharrott Rd. Poland, OH 44514. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 4:45 pm Monday at St. Christine Church prior to the Funeral Mass.
