Emily C. "Boo" Mansfield, 85 NORTH LIMA --Emily "Boo" Mansfield, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday evening. There will be a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at the St. Charles Church, celebrated by Father Philip Rogers. Emily was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Youngstown, a daughter of Walter J. and Emma M. Repasky Masluk and was a graduate of The Rayen High School. She was a homemaker and in later years, she worked at the Townhouse Restaurant in Boardman. Emily was a member of the St. Charles Church, and was very active in various organizations, such as, the Auxiliary Southside Hospital Pink Ladies, the Boardman Band Parents and PTA, the Boardman YMCA Silver Sneakers. She was also involved in three card clubs, including St. Charles, Shephard of Valley Poland, and Hunters Woods. She participated in the Thursday Morning Breakfast Club and the Poland Garden Club. She enjoyed floral gardening, scrapbooking, but especially loved doing things for her grandchildren, including attending all their activities, and most importantly hosting the annual Christmas party with Santa. They lovingly called her Granny "Boo." She leaves to cherish her memory, her six children, Vicky (Joseph) Italiano, Micki (John) Ryan, Cyndee Playforth, Ted Mansfield, Ron (Erika) Mansfield, and Lynn (Joseph) Nenadich, all of Boardman; her beloved grandchildren, John (Carrie) Ryan, Amy (Ian) Shirey, Jeff (Kate) Ryan, Julie Italiano, Carrie (Chris) Ratliff, Julie (Garee) McCully, Teddy Mansfield, Jennifer Mansfield, Jessica (Frank) Cassese, Rachel Mansfield, J.T. Nenadich, Jordyn Nenadich; and well as her 13 great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph T. Mansfield Jr., whom she married Feb. 9, 1949, and passed away March 2, 1999; her brothers, Walter and James Masluk, and sister Rosemary DiMargio. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the St. Charles Church prior to the Mass.
