YOUNGSTOWN-Florence Victoria Schemetti, 88 Prayers will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated by Rev. Edward Noga at 10:00 a.m. at St . Patrick Church for Florence Victoria Schemetti, who passed away peacefully Thursday at Beeghley Oaks . Florence was born October 26, 1923 in Dunkirk, NY, a daughter of Karol & Salamia Maslak and was an area resident since childhood. She worked as a machine operator at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and was a long time parishioner at St. Patrick's parish. Her husband Nicholas Schemetti preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Donna Lebow of Las Vegas; her sons Donald (Mary Jane) Schemetti of Virginia Beach, John Schemetti of Virginia Beach, Marian Bugdal of Youngstown; a daughter-in-law Patricia Schemetti of East Palestine; a son-in-law James Marino of Youngstown; twenty grandchildren ; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand child. Besides her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by her sons, Nicholas Schemetti, Robert Schemetti; daughters Rose Marino, Bonnie (James) Russo; sisters, Sophie Halas, Kashkia Reading,Julia Kazor; brothers, Jack and Waller Maslak. Florence's family would like to thank the staff of Beeghley Oaks for the loving care they showed their mother. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home.
