George Charles Bertison,72 CANFIELD- A Prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church celebrated by Fr. Terry Hazel, for George Charles Bertison,72, who passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon at Hospice House surrounded by his family. George was born May 4, 1938, in Patton, PA a son of Charles and Suzanna Bertison. He grew up and went to High School in Patton, Pa and moved to the Youngstown area in 1956. George owned and operated Bertison Dental Laboratory with his daughter Suzanne. He belonged to St Michael parish, and was a member of the Eastern Ohio Conservation Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved to garden and create his own wine. He leaves his wife of almost 50 years, Jeri Nestor, whom he married February 11, 1961; a daughter, Suzanne Bertison of Boardman; two sons, Jeffrey (Lori) Bertison of Austin, TX, Greg Bertison of Dublin, OH; a brother Joseph Bertison of Cresson, PA; six grandchildren, Bridget Bertison, Charlie Bertison, Melissa Buist, Emily Buist, Hannah Bertison and Hailey Bertison. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Diane Bertison; three brothers Chuck Bertison, Al Bertison, Paul Bertison and a sister, Florence Rozinski.
