Obituary

Gerald "Jerry" Don Riley, 79 YOUNGSTOWN - There will be a Resurrection Mass at 10 a.m. Friday May 27th at St. Christine Church celebrated by Fr. John Ettinger for Gerald Don Riley, 79 who passed away peacefully at his residence Monday morning. Jerry was born August 3, 1936 in Keyser W.V. a son of the late Willard and Mayme Scalli Riley. He graduated from Keyser High School , moved to the Youngstown area and worked for our city and state with the road department in maintenance for over 30 years. He was a long time parishioner of St. Christine's parish where he was an usher and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He will be greatly missed by his wife the former Linda Spillman whom he married on June 25, 1966 just short of celebrating 50 years of marriage. He also leaves his two daughters, Michelle Riley and Heidi Riley both of Youngstown; his grandchildren, Alec Hamling, Christopher Carrol, Trisha Riley, Dana Brown, Christine Riley, Huston Jones, Annie Jones; two great grandchildren, Alden and Zoey and three nephews, Michael, Shawn and Brent Riley. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday at St. Christine church prior to the funeral mass.
