Geraldine Laura kundracik,94 NORTH LIMA - A Resurrection Mass will be celebrated 11:00am Monday at St. Luke Catholic Church Boardman, Ohio for Geraldine Laura Kundracik, 94, who passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning at Assumption Village Nursing Home, Fr. Kevin Peters officiating. Gerry was born January 17, 1921, the daughter of Phillip and Laura Gialdini Fusco and a lifelong resident of the Youngstown area. She graduated from Ursuline High School. As a young women, Gerry was employed at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company working in the payroll department. Gerry was also an avid cook and baker working in various local restaurants. Geraldine was a member of St. Luke and involved in parish activities including bingo and kolachi baking. She was an award winning cross-stitcher and knitter. She married John B. Kundracik also of Youngstown on October 10, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1997 after 48 years of marriage. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by, two daughters, Janet (Bob) Hamer of Boardman, Catherine (Dale) Evankovich of Copley; two sons John P. Kundracik of New Middletown and Richard (Helen) Kundracik of Boardman; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by a daughter Carol Griffith Tropepe; a brother John Fusco; five sisters, Mary DeCapite, Josephine Gambrel, Carmel, Florence and Frances Fusco. Friends may call from 10:00am to 11:00am Monday at the church chapel. Gerry's family would like to thank the staffs of Assumption Village and Hospice of the Valley for the care and compassion that was extended to their mother.
