Guido Delisio,86 There will be prayers at 9:15 Monday at the Fox Funeral Home followed by a resurrection mass at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church officiated By Rev. Edward Noga for Guido DeLisio, 86 who passed away Thursday afternoon at his residence. Mr. Delisio was born April 27, 1930 in Petrella Tiferninia Italy, a son of Guiseppe and Marietta Mastroberadino Delisio and came to Youngstown in 1947. He was a veteran in the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was an Operator Engineer for the Union Local #66 and received his 60 year pin this year. He was very involved with the Union, belonged to the Eagles Club; was a member of the Korean War Veteran's Association and played in various Bocce Leagues. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching the Indians and going to casinos but mostly he enjoyed going to his grandchildren's sporting events. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cared deeply about his family and spent the last several years as Rose's primary caregiver. He was a kind, good hearted, generous man who will be missed by many. Guido's wife the former Rose Sipe who he married 62 years ago, just died on September 20, 2016. He will be greatly missed by his four sons, Thomas Magada of Canfield, Robert Magada of Austintown, Julius Delisio of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Greg (Maria) Delisio of Westland, Michigan; two daughters, Debbie Delisio of Poland, Caroline (Brian) Delisio of Boardman; one granddaughter, Jenna; three grandsons, Robert, Dominic and Marco; his great-grandchildren and his two sisters-in-law, Angie DeLisio and Angeline Dilisio. Besides his wife and parents, Guido was preceded in death by two brother's Edward Dilisio and Mario DeLisio. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 6 pm Sunday at Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
