Helen D. Behun Novotny, 91 AUSTINTOWN - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at noon on Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Kenneth Miller at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown, for Helen Novotny, 91, who passed away on Sunday July 20, at Vista Care at the Ridge. Helen was born Nov. 24, 1921, in Newton Falls, a daughter of Michael and Mary Ann Babinchak Behun. She graduated from Jackson Milton High School. She was a house wife, who loved gardening playing bingo, putting puzzles together and working on craft projects. She was a long time member of the Immaculate heart of Mary Church. Her husband, John A. Novotny, whom she married Oct. 20, 1941, passed away Jan. 2, 1992. Helen leaves to cherish her memory, several nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law, Betty Milo of North Jackson; and her caregiver, nephew John Duchanois of Cortland. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Novotny, who passed Jan. 30, 2009; also preceding her was her brother, Paul Behun; and two sisters, Mary Ann Walko and Julia Vrosic. Friends and family may call from 11:30 a.m. to noon at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Wednesday.
