Helen C. O'Dea, 93 BOARDMAN - There will be funeral services at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home for Helen C. O'Dea, 93, who passed away Thursday evening at Shepherd of the Valley. Helen was born March 31, 1921 in Youngstown, a daughter of Paul and Anna Bellej and has been a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, and worked as a Rosey the Riveter at General Fireproofing during WWII. She retired from Little Forest Medical Center after many years of assisting patients as a nurse's aide. She was a long time parishioner of St. Dominic Parish and belonged to its Altar Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Women's American Slovak League. Her husband Paul S. O'Dea whom she married on January 16, 1953 died on November 16, 1964. She will be greatly missed by her two sons Stephen T. O'Dea of Austintown, Eugene P. (Colleen) O'Dea of Youngstown; two brothers Leonard Bellej of Youngstown, Paul Bell of Struthers; a sister Florence Dornbush of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Shannon O'Dea-Miller, Gene O'Dea, Jessica O'Dea, Chris O'Dea; two great grandchildren, Quinn and Emma O'Dea. Besides her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her two sisters, Emma Fabian and Marge Guidos and two brothers, Joseph Bellej and John Bailly. In lieu of flowers, the O'Dea family requests that monetary donations be made in Helen's name to Southern Care Hospice, 5401 Ashley circle Suite E, Austintown, OH 44515. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home 4700 Market St Boardman, Ohio.
