A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Bernard Timothy, O.P., at 10:30 Monday at St. Dominic Church, Youngstown, for Hilda Hertha Claire, 89, of Canfield, who passed away peacefully Wednesday evening with her family by her side.  Hilda was born August 6, 1927 in Erie, Penna., a daughter of the late Henry and Hertha Stoetzer Stockhausen.  She was a 1949 graduate of Westminster College and taught English at Tallmadge High School for twenty years.   Hilda was a member of St. Dominic Church.  Her husband Chester P. Claire, whom she married June 24, 1950, passed away March 31, 2011.  She leaves to cherish her memory , two sons Eric (Karin) Claire of Hinckley, Ohio, and Mark (Kathleen) Claire of Anna Maria, Florida , a daughter Melinda Knight of Youngstown, a sister Gladys Anderson of Seattle, Washington, five grandchildren Sean ( Megan) Claire, Lisa (Tony) Cardinal, Lindsay Knight,, Lee (Erika) Knight and Gregory Knight, six great grandchildren Amelia Claire, Williams Claire, Leo Claire, Macklin Knight, Elliana Knight and Bannon Cardinal and  two great grandchildren on the way.   Material tributes can be made in Hilda's memory to Westminster College, 319 South Market Street, New Wilmington, Penna.  16172.
